FUTURE IMAGE

WINNERS OF THE ICSC 'FUTURE IMAGE' DESIGN COMPETITION

‘FUTURE IMAGE’

In 2059 people still want to shop.

Healthier living and environments wedded to the planet’s strive to lower carbon emission levels has transformed consumerism.

The Retail Galleries organises space and information into merchandising categories. Shoppers are offered a personal service allowing them to better understand all options and to compare all products on the market. Each galleria is themed and uniquely identified.

Consider a shopper who wants to purchase a pair of shoes in the Footwear Gallery. Once inside the shopper could peruse the tiered perimeter areas for brand specific products or they could make their way to the Solutions Lounge to enlist the help of a personal assistant. Vital information such as individual likes, dislikes, previous purchasing history and body measurements are stored on your personal ergo chip. A Body Contouring scan is offered to those who wish to update their measurements. Customer and Assistant then use one of the Information Hubs to access all information about the style of shoe which is then matched to the individual and seen, fitted on the shopper, in the 3D viewer. After this virtual fitting the shopper can choose to physically try them on. Accounting Suites are available for payment and for planning future purchases. Recycling Depots deal with ‘after wear’ management and the One World Desk allows customers to donate a percentage of their purchase to charities.

Retail Galleries provides the whole personal retail experience in a spectacular environment and continues to contribute to the vibrancy of the communities it serves.
