44/44A King Henry's Road, Primrose Hill, is a large, four-storey residential property that provides the home for the vicarage serving St. Mary's Primrose Hill parish, together with a small private studio flat in the basement. Colman Architects has been appointed by the Diocese of London to work on the development to refurbish and improve the interior of the building to provide a more compact and efficient new vicarage on the upper levels over a larger, better-presented one-bedroom flat below.

Wheelchair access for visitors will be introduced from the street up to the vicarage and a new external staircase will provide a connection between the vicarage's reception areas and the rear garden. The basement flat will benefit from a new external terrace providing some improved external amenity space. A Full Planning Application has just been submitted for these external works.

The thermal performance of the fabric will be improved and the existing windows will be replaced throughout with new ones to match in appearance. The introduction of new ASHP-powered heating, some roof-mounted PV panels and an MVHR system will improve the Energy Rating of both properties to a "B".
